If it is happening right now
- End the call. Hang up works at any moment, without waiting for Next.
- Report the account. Open that person's profile and use Report, choosing the reason that fits. Block them too if you want.
- Tell us more. Email [email protected] with the time, the nickname or profile and what you saw. Do not record or keep copies of the content yourself.
Where a child may be at risk right now, call the police or emergency services before anything else. We are not a substitute for them.
Where we stand
FoxChat Video is for adults 18+ only, or older where local law sets a higher minimum age. By using it you confirm you meet that age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and if we learn that we have, we delete it as quickly as we can. Protecting minors is one of the seven ground rules in our community guidelines, and anything that harms a minor's rights or safety is treated as serious.
What is banned
- any sexualized content involving a minor, in calls, messages, profiles, posts or clubs;
- exploitative content of any kind involving minors;
- images or videos of minors in avatars, albums, Moments or club pictures;
- trying to contact, groom or pressure a minor, on FoxChat Video or by moving them elsewhere;
- an under-18 using the service at all, including on an adult's account.
What we do
When a report points to a minor, or to content involving one, we may:
- remove the content and restrict the account;
- suspend or permanently close the account, which is the normal outcome for anything sexual or exploitative involving a minor;
- delete information we have collected from an underage user;
- preserve what is relevant to the case and provide it when a lawful request from authorities arrives.
What we cannot do
FoxChat Video does not check identity documents before a chat starts, and no system catches everything. That is why reports matter so much: the person on the other camera is often the first to notice something is wrong. Please do not assume someone else has already reported it.
For parents and carers
If you think your child has used FoxChat Video, or has been contacted through it, write to us with whatever you know — a nickname, the approximate time, screenshots of text messages your child received — and say that you are the parent or carer. You can also ask us to close your child's account and delete its data. If anything your child was sent is sexual, do not forward or attach it: describe it in words, and take it to the police, who can lawfully handle it. Most devices and browsers have parental controls that can block sites by category or by name, and they are worth switching on. Talking with children about not showing their face or sharing details with strangers online protects them on every platform, not just this one.
