Which request is yours
- Your creative work — a photo, video, drawing or text you own has been uploaded by someone else as an avatar, in an album, in Moments or in a club.
- Your image — a picture or video of you has been posted, or someone screen-captured or screenshotted you on a call without your consent and shared it here. Both break our community guidelines.
- Your identity — an account is pretending to be you, or to be connected to you or your brand. Impersonation is banned by our terms.
- Your personal details — your phone number, address or other private information has been posted without your agreement.
All four go to [email protected]. Naming the type in the subject line makes the request easier to sort.
What to put in the email
- Where the content is — the profile link or nickname, and which part (avatar, album, Moments, club, message).
- What it is a copy of, or who it shows, with a link to your original if there is one.
- Why you are entitled to ask: you made it, you own it, it is you, or you act for the person who does.
- How we can reach you.
- A statement that the information in your request is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Leave out passwords, verification codes and payment details — we never need them for a takedown. If you are sending a request about intimate images or a minor, describe the content in words; do not attach it.
After you send it
We may ask you for more information or for proof that you are entitled to make the request. Where it is justified, we can remove the content or restrict access to it, and we can warn, limit, suspend or close the account that posted it. Records relevant to the case may be kept and shared in response to legitimate legal requests.
Removal applies to FoxChat Video. Search engines and other services may hold cached copies for a while before their results update; requests to them have to be made separately.
If the notice is about you
If something you posted was removed and you believe you had the right to post it — it is your own work, you have a license, or it is a misidentification — write to the same address explaining why, and include what evidence you have. Under our terms you are responsible for what you upload and only post what you are entitled to publish; you remain responsible for claims that result if it infringes someone else's rights.
